Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov has said that 621 officials of the Defence Ministry and Ukraine’s Armed Forces were brought to disciplinary or financial responsibility based on the results of internal audits in 2022.
Quote: “621 – this is the number of officials from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defence who were brought to justice based on the results of internal audits last year.
Of these, 497 officials were held financially liable; 124 officials were held disciplinarily liable.”
Details: At the same time, Reznikov noted that all internal audit materials that established the violations were handed over to law enforcement officers: “All persons whose guilt has been proven by the relevant authorities are and will be held accountable.”
Background:

- On 5 February, David Arakhamia, Head of the Servant of the People faction, claimed that the Servant of the People faction would vote to dismiss Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov. Later, Arakhamia said that there would be no personnel changes in the Defence Ministry this week.
- Later, Reznikov had announced a reboot of the anti-corruption department and the introduction of a public control mechanism after the corruption scandal surrounding the Ministry of Defence.
- He remains the head of the Defence Ministry.
