Israeli Military Systems on Display at Feindef Exhibition in Madrid

Israeli military systems manufactured locally in Spain are on display at the Feindef exhibition, currently taking place in Madrid.

Spanish companies Escribano M&E and Expal present at a joint stand their national proposal for the high mobility rocket launcher system (Silam) program of the Army, based on the PULS system (Precise and Universal Launching System) of the Israeli company Elbit. Both companies exhibit at the fair an 8×8 Iveco truck with the rocket launcher already installed.

About a month ago, the Spanish Ministry of Defense decided to purchase the local PULS-based system due to the high price of the American HIMRAS system. This is another expression of the great “popularity” of the PULS system in the European military market, when only recently Hungary and Denmark decided on the purchase of the launchers and now it is also known that the Netherlands has decided to purchase launchers worth $305 million from Elbit.

Spanish company Pap Tecnos is exhibiting together with its parent company Rafael the anti-tank missile Spike LR2. The Ministry of Defense has a program underway, pending signature, for the purchase of 1,680 Spike LR2 missiles and 168 firing points for the Army and the Marine Corps
