A terrorist was killed in a military operation in Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) under the Pakistan Armed Forces on Wednesday.
The ISPR said in a statement that the security forces conducted an operation Tuesday night, leading to an intensive fire exchange in the Ladha area of South Waziristan tribal district bordering Afghanistan.
It added that the troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and consequently a terrorist was killed in the exchange of fire with the security personnel.
“Weapon and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorist, who remained actively involved in various terrorist activities in the area,” added the ISPR.
According to the military, security forces have been carrying out a search operation to eliminate any other terrorists present in the area.
