Two terrorists were killed during an army operation in Pakistan’s southwest Balochistan province, the army has said.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan army, said security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Zerber area of Kech district of the province on Saturday.
During the operation, an intense exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists, the ISPR said, adding that two terrorists were killed in retaliatory fire.
The killed terrorists were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities against law enforcement agencies, it added.
A large quantity of equipment and explosives have also been seized.
After the incident, sanitization of the area was carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area, the ISPR said.
Pakistani security forces are committed to thwarting efforts of enemies to destabilize the country, the military said.
